Today's Choices Shape My Future

     The choices that I make today do shape my future. There are many choices that I will have to make that will shape my future for the best or the worst. A few of the choices that I will have to make are to pursue a good education, stay away from drugs and alcohol, and have good moral beliefs.

     The first choice is to pursue a good education. This choice will have a tremendous impact on my future because in the present day and time it is hard to get a job anywhere without a college education. If I choose to pursue a good education and go to college, chances are that I will get a good job, a house, and be able to support myself. If I choose to drop out of school, chances are that I will not get a good job, a house, or be able to support myself.

     The second choice is to stay away from drugs and alcohol. This choice will also have an enormous impact on my future. If I choose to stay away from drugs and alcohol, I will most likely be able to function normally and live a longer, happier, and more prosperous life. If I choose to do drugs and alcohol, I will most likely have damage to my brain causing me to function abnormally and live a shorter, less prosperous life. I also need to stay away from the people that use them because that can be just as bad as using them.

     The third choice is to have good moral beliefs. This choice will also have a major impact on my future. If I choose to have good moral beliefs and live in the way that God intended, then I will live a better life. I believe one way to do this is to attend church on a regular basis and spend more of my time with people who share my beliefs. If I choose to have bad morals and live a life without God then I will not do well in life.

     I shape my future with the choices that I make. There are many choices that lay ahead in my life that can and will shape my future. The choices to pursue a good education, to stay away from drugs and alcohol, and to have good moral beliefs are just a few of the choices that I will have to make. My future depends on whether or not I make the right choices in life.
